connecting and powering up
What is the procedure or consensus on powering up your observatory when running remotely. It seems as if each device has its own peculiarities in hookup procedure. If I power on a device that instructions tell me I should power on and then cable to my comp or vice versa am I going to fry things? My Sbig equipment are examples of this.
Home built dome, 12" Meade LX 200 OTA, cem 60 ec, sbig stf 8300c, Starshoot AutoGuider Pro, Orion Off-axis

Re: connecting and powering up
I normally plug everything in on the remote location, then turn on the power, and finally turn on the computer. So far I haven't had any issues (except forgetting to turn on the computer.... )
