Hi Oldfort - Yep the 60's and the Appolo missions gave a lot of us the enthusiasm for space. Nothing wrong with visual, I fell into AP and down the rabbit hole into DSO imaging.
You may want to take a look at the Dwarf Labs Dwarf II https://dwarflab.com/EAA at low cost and from what I have seen online good in high bortle skies.
