I love my Baader wedge, many hours spent staring at sunspots over the years.

Lady Fraktor. Should you ever feel like dipping your toes into Solar Imaging why not try this ?. My first camera was a modded Philips ccd camera, I bought one for around £10, can't remember what I did to it ( removed something ) stuck a nosepiece on it and Bingo. There's one on Fleabay for £10 !

When I began Solar Imaging ( being green around the gills ) I thought that the safest place to store my images was to create a gallery in the old AF. after all AF would be around for donkeys years. We know what happened to AF and my images went with it. One or two that I posted on Facebook kept turning up and I saved them to my laptop but they'd been compressed etc so not too good. I'll post a couple on here sometime if I can remember how to do it.

Unfortunate how much good information/ images were lost at that time.

Do not tell anyone but when I purchased the Vixen SXP mount I also purchased the advance unit and CCD camera since I was planning on doing spectroscopy in the future. They are still wrapped in their boxes in the astro shed.

Managed out yesterday with my wee Coronado 50 . All a bit rushed but, hey, first time this year. Results were less that spectacular and an image (or two ) may well follow.
