Hi everybody,

Happy New Year :occasion-balloons:
:occasion-partyblower:
With the planets having put on such a fine show recently, this new years quiz has a bit of a planetary theme.

Still looking for someone to take on the quizmaster duties from March - July.
BABOafrica is very busy at work and I won't be able to cover during these months.

Enjoy

OK, 18/20 this time , a couple guesses came thru. But, bone picking, the one I missed was a bit of a 'trick' question for the obvious optical double star located therein. Actually, now that I think back, there were a couple others that could be considered 'trick' questions. But that is the fun of it, trying to out-guess the professor!

11/20, my best so far. One question was unclear, namely the "object pictured above" you are referring to - the picture contains many objects! Since it was in the Southern hemisphere I would not have known the answer anyway. Another one I missed because I was counting a double star as 2 otherwise I would have got it right. Thanks for the quiz, it was fun.

Henk,
Sorry, both questions referred to the same objects but your point is taken, that question could have been more clearly expressed.

In my defence, it made perfect sense to me.

Ok so not being able to see it, I relied upon references. Maybe I blew this one.
Between you & Henk, I'll have to refrain from asking questions about either the northern or southern hemispheres.
I guarantee you'll find no faults with the quizzes from March to June. :icon-smile:

If you would have written "the objects" instead of "the object" then it would have been clear to me.

I see that Steve was also guessing if he should count the double star as 2 or 1. He probably guessed 1, I didn't.

It doesn't matter, a little controversy is good for the soul!
