Arp 275 (
NGC 2881, VV 293a/b and others) is part of Arp’s ‘Double Galaxies – Interating’ class. These are estimated to be approximately 250 million light-years away in Hydra.
IC 2482 (PGC 26796, MCG-02-24-025 and others) is the elliptical galaxy at the bottom left. This one is approximately 163 million light-years away.

RGB – 9:12:10x300s – 45:60:50 minutes each – binned 2x2
395 minutes total exposure – 6 hours 35 minutes
Imaged over five nights in January and December, 2020, January, 2021 and January 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at
f/8 2432mm.
