powermate problem

#1

Post by 1jimalexander »

I get dust like circles on my frame when I attach the powermate 2.5.
Nothing shows up on the lenses.
Anyone seen this?

I'm questioning whether it's a powermate problem now.
Still getting some dust without the powermate.
    I'm using a C11 Edge Hd.
Is there something inside the tube that might need cleaning.
It's new and I haven't looked at the secondary mirror.

I had the same problem. It turned out the dust was on my sensor. It only showed up when I used my Barlow. Go figure.

JayTee: Yes. That explains what I was experiencing. I suppose the barlow amplifies dust in other parts of the image train.
      Thanks
