Sky gazing from Brazil

Hello, everyone!

I am a retired university professor sky gazing since 2013.

My current interests in astronomy relate to astrophysics, variable star photometry, and spectroscopy, especially of the Be stars, very hot stars of the B spectral class which rotate at enormous speeds and emit electromagnetic energy in several wavelengths. My small DIY observatory is at 19.95 S x 44.25 W, in Southeastern Brazil. My setup includes a 203-mm Meade SCT mounted on a Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Pro Synscan, DSLR, CMOS, and CCD cameras, a spectrograph, several photometric filters, etc., plus software for astrometry, guiding, capturing, stacking, data reduction, and the like. I am not into artistic astrophotography, of which I know nothing.

I look forward to interesting exchanges with The Sky Searchers, probably related to the equipment issues.
