I am a retired university professor sky gazing since 2013.
My current interests in astronomy relate to astrophysics, variable star photometry, and spectroscopy, especially of the Be stars, very hot stars of the B spectral class which rotate at enormous speeds and emit electromagnetic energy in several wavelengths. (See “The B star dilemma: To Be or Not to Be”, in https://www.variablestarssouth.org/vss- ... 2022-3.pdf)
My small DIY observatory is at 19.95 S x 44.25 W, in Southeastern Brazil. My setup includes a 203-mm Meade
I look forward to interesting exchanges with The Sky Searchers, probably related to the equipment issues.
Cheers,
Ari Siqueira
