Thank you Bill. I appreciate your comments, as I try to impart to the reader, as best as I can, what it is I see through the eyepiece.

Great to see you were able to make a final galaxy push before the holiday season possibly rules out any chance of dark sky observing until after Christmas, Alan. Hope you had a great Turkey Day with your daughter's family - I spent mine with my sister's family.

I myself have not observed any Cetus galaxies since 2013. I logged 24, including 4 that you revisited in this report (584, 596, 615, 636). NGC 600 looks like one of the brighter ones (mag=12.4, SB=14.1) that I should target the next time I go dark sky observing, whenever that day (or night) comes.
Scopes: Reflectors, refractors, and 1 catadioptric. Ranging in aperture from 50mm to 150mm.

Thank you Terry. Thanksgiving went well indeed. Though its called "Turkey Day", we do not fix turkey any longer. Hardly anyone in our family cares for it that much. But we did have roasted chicken and rib roast, with various sides. :icon-smile:

I hope you do get a chance to do some dark sky observing over the coming months. It is always nice to enjoy the beauty of the sky at a darker location. Merry Christmas Terry, and hope you have a joyous season.

I realize that turkey is not for everybody, but we usually have turkey with sweet ham and stuffing, plus other sides (green beans, grilled veggies with potatoes, mushrooms). For desert, pumpkin pie and cranberries. My brother-in-law was a former chef/cook. Was eating leftovers well into Wednesday of the following week. 😊

Thanks Alan - hope you have a wonderful holiday season as well!
