I got an image of the new Supernova in M101 last night!

First, here's an image of M101 that I got back on 29 Mar 2022:

And here's the image of M101 I got last night, 21 May 2033:

I bought a Meade solar filter to use with my eQuinox. Unistellar has the sun as one of the objects but it's not possible to orient the telescope for it to go to the sun and track it. I had to slew it close to where I thought it should be and then look at the shadow of the telescope on the ground to get the image.

Haven't been very active lately. There is a winter storm coming this weekend, and we got a couple of great nights before it arrives:

I forgot how to post an image from my gallery, but I added two pictures of the moon taken with my eQuinox using the latest app update version 3.0.1.

If you right click the image in your gallery you get the option to copy a link to the image. Then in your reply click the "Insert Image" button (the picture icon) and past the link between the (img) (/img) texts.

Image

There's a guide here: viewtopic.php?p=266069#p266069

Or you can post the image directly from your computer in the same way as you uploaded it to the gallery using the "Add files" button on the "Attachment" tab at the bottom of the "Post a reply" screen.
