Seems like there's not much mention of Omegon refractors here. Are they not that popular or have I not read enough of the archives?

Don't know about the refractors, but the Maks and SCTs are just rebranded Synta/Celestron/Skywatcher.

They are based in Germany so most likely not many available in NA.
As Jeff stated they re-brand most of their equipment.
They do carry a lot of product and customer service is good.
You will find a lot of Kunnming United Optics, Sharpstar, Long Perng and more.
