My first SCT
I've been using a refractor up until now.
Just received a Celestron 11edgeHD and a HyperStar.
What a weird experience attaching the HyperStar to the front of the scope.
With the camera and cables, and perhaps a small filter wheel, doesn't this interfere with the light coming into the scope. How is this possible.
I understand that the light comes in the "front" and is reflected to the secondary mirror or, in this case, the HyperStar.
What is the lights path through the front so that the cables don't show up in the frame?
Sorry if I'm not explaining well. Perhaps with responses I can refine my concerns.

Re: My first SCT
Since you have the 11" the effect of objects impacting the light is minimized. I use Hyperstar on my Edge. But, you are correct, there are some issues with loss of contrast and spikes around bright stars. If the camera is small enough (most new cameras are cylindrical and are not bigger than the secondary mirror) these effects are minimized. I wouldn't put a filter wheel in on the act though.
