NGC55 in LRGB. Taken over 3 nights to test out a few things: a new MeLE Quieter 3 mini-pc running Windows 11, a GL-inet “Mango” travel router, a home made light shield, examine tilt and refine collimation. Hm. The tech works great and tilt was better accounted for but have a feeling the light shield is a bit long and collimation isn’t really super stable (suspect that the primary mirror is moving a tad). I managed, in the end, to pull together 5 hours of data that was mostly okay.

I have imaged this galaxy many times over the past few years. I must say, you did a splendid job it. It's really hard to get the kind of detail you show in this image.

Definitely an APOD contender.

Very pretty Benjamin. The colors are quite unusual and mysterious looking. I like it.
Glad that all your "techie stuff" worked.

That is an outstanding image of a very intriguing galaxy. Your processing work is wonderful as you brought out excellent detail within its structure. The western portion, structurally distinct from the primary galactic disk also carries the designation of IC 1537. I second Joe's nomination for an APOD without reservation. Well done Benjamin.
