The SkyWatcher handset wants degrees and minutes. You have decimal degrees. To convert decimal degrees to minutes, you multiply the fraction part by 60, because there are 60 minutes in a degree.

.9351 * 60 = 56.106. .4311 * 60 = 25.866

So 52.9351 becomes 52 degrees 56 minutes. 1.4311 becomes 1 degree 26 minutes, rounding to the nearest minute.

Sorry, it's been a long time since I entered data into a SkyWatcher handset. I would have to see what kind of error you are getting when you try. (I did use my SkyWatcher mount last month, but I have a GPS for it, so I didn't have to enter data.)

1 Press the “MENU” shortcut key.

2 Use the scroll keys to select “Observation Site” and press the ENTER key to edit the geographic coordinates. Press the ENTER key to apply the change or press the ESC key to exit.
