My new to me C8

Picked this up last December, a 1978 orange tube beauty, a fantastic performer and recently added an F 6.3 reducer for wider views. The tripod is a mid 80's, not the original locked triangle one (I'm trying to find one of those as well) to keep it period correct. Came with the tube weight set, a few eyepieces and an assortment of other bits and pieces. One thing I really love about this scope is the fork arm mounting, great as an alt az set up or Eq on the wedge (tracking works at mains voltage of 240 Volts). The scope is quite light, and easy to manoeuvre even with the wedge and tripod in one go. I've always wanted one of these iconic orange tubed scopes ever since I first saw them as a young teen in Celestrons 1981 catalogue, but they were way out of my price range. Now I have one and really enjoying the views, what a great scope.
