K1-16 (PK 094+27 1, PN G094.0+27.4 and numerous other designations) is a planetary nebula located approximately 5,537 light-years away in Draco. The central star is designated as variable DS Dra.

Luminance – 24x300s – binned 1x1 – 120 minutes
RGB – 8x180s – 24 minutes each – binned 2x2

182 minutes total exposure – 3 hours 2 minutes

Imaged May 31st, June 1st and August 27th and 28th, 2022 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

Hi Dan. We don't see the planetary nebula K1-16 in Draco very often on here and you did a fantastic job with this image. Excellent contrast and a nice star field of your capture on the flickr site. Thanks for sharing this view with us Dan and keep up the great work.
