Hello everyone, I just stumbled into TSS while trying to find reviews on the iOptron CEMG40 NUC mount. And here we are. I am from the snow Capital of the world and I am as Astronomy geek. I am also a comedy keynote speaker and a distinguished Toastmaster. Hence the ToAstronaut monicker .
If I am not freezing my fingers in the -35 deg C observation nights, I teach risk management to budding super heroes at a grad college, I battle cancer (yep, winning so far) and do underwater photography.
Equipment: Astro Physics Mach1 mount, Televue NP101 is astrrograph OTA,

Welcome to the forum. I can't speak directly to the CEM40NUC mount but I have the CEM70EC and absolutely love it. The mounts are basically the same except the load capacity and the EC has RA encoders while the NUC model has connections and 19v power for a NUC.
Hi Toast. It's great to have you join us here on TSS. Welcome to the forum Toast and the best of wishes on your astronomy and astrophotography endeavors.

Good luck with the battle. I got the all clear from leukemia about a year back and recently got diagnosed with prostate cancer. Can be a long road but it is amazing the progress they have made with treatments.
Risk managent eh? Once upon a time I was a platoon SGT. Used to describe my job as a 'middle level executive responsible for risk managment'
