- U Sge - no eclipse.
- Ptolemy's Cluster - pretty low in altitude, but still gorgeous. Definitely not naked eye in my home
- Lagoon - no neb visible without a filter and even filtered there was just some fuzz with averted vision. Quite different from my dark site where the Lagoon smacks me in the face in a 8x50 finder.
Transparency was awful, from high humidity and / or wildfire smoke, so I called it a night about 2300.
Woke up around 0430, so I took out Shrimpy (50mm). Just a quick look at the Hyades since twilight was progressing, but I did find the "Yield Sign"
With the heat, humidity, mosquitoes, and short nights, maybe I should stick with brief bino sessions between May and September unless I travel to a worthwhile dark site or something. Add annual wildfire smoke each summer now and I'm really starting to wonder.
