NGC 6744 (Caldwell 101, ESO 104-42, PGC 62836 and others) is an intermediate spiral galaxy located approximately 31 million light-years away in Pavo.

NGC 6744A (ESO 104-38, PGC 62815 and others) is a companion galaxy found in the arms above and to the right.

Luminance – 36x600s – 360 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 33:31:30x600s – 330:310:300 minutes each – binned 1x1

1300 minutes total exposure – 21 hours 40 minutes

Imaged over fifteen nights from November 7th, 2020 through July 1st, 2022 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI PL 9000 on a PlaneWave CDK24 at f/6.5 3974 mm.
