I woke up at just after 4AM and went downstairs to get a drink. Sasha the cat wanted out, of course, so since I'm not at work today I did that and went out as well. A little brisk at 8C (46F), but it was fairly clear and looking to the east, I could see Venus, the Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn in a big line up. Just stunning. Mercury is a part of all this, but it's lost in the Sun's rising glare for me at my latitude. If it's clear in the early AM where you are in the next few days, do yourself a favour and check all this out. Well worth it!
After half an hour of staring at that and petting her highness, Sasha decided to chase insects and I went and got my camera.
I couldn't fit it all in the lens I have, so I settled for the Venus and the Moon. Nice fit outside the power lines. TV mode at ISO 800 and 1/20th sec exp taken at 5:03AM EST, handheld to boot
I hear a buzzing noise upstairs, methinks her highness has caught a cicada. She can have her fun; I'm closing the door and going back to sleep.

Nice shot Mark! In spring the planets were in a tighter group, but now they are spreading, still fun to see. I also tried for Mercury but it was too low even at the elongation.
