Awesome View

This hardly qualifies as a report as the total time involved was less than a minute.

But for a quality vs. quantity view, I found it unexpected and hard to beat!

I was outside this morning refilling the dogs water dish and looked up to pleasantly find a clear (or clearish) sky.
It just happened that I was looking South to Southeast and the planets were there in all of their glory. Saturn, Jupiter, crescent moon, Mars, and Venus all saying good morning. No horizon view to try to catch Mercury.

The icing on the cake was that the ISS was cruising just below the planet row following the same ecliptic plane. What an awesome sight!

A heck of a way to start my day. Just wanted to share.

It was Michael.

All of us look up every time we see a clear sky and it is always beautiful.
I’ve been seeing the planet parade for a while. The bonus was one extra planet was moving!

Hi Jim. It looks like you had a great experience this morning by spotting the "parade of planets" and also including an ISS fly by. Thanks for sharing this nice observation with us Jim and keep looking up.

The planets are having quite a show in the mornings. I am glad you have managed to see it, Jim.

Very nice Jim. I had some good views of Mercury and Venus in 2021 (I think) and snapped some photos where both were visible just after sunset, which is somewhat infrequent. Indeed the parade of planets seems like a cosmic ballet. Cue up the 2001 Space Odyssey music....either the kettle drums or the Blue Danube...

What a great way to start the day. I have been waiting for over a month for the clouds to take a rest so I can see the parade.

Absolutely is a great way to start the day!

The evenings have been cloudy and super hot (over 100F during the day with high humidity). The past two mornings have been clear.

The planets were crisp this morning. No ISS though. Unfortunately, I don't have a view of the horizon. Mercury would ice the cake!
