M8 Lagoon Nebula

#1

Post by Mac »

I added some more photons using the L-Enhance and ED102. This represents many sessions over the last year and I've lost count of the number of exposures. It's been cropped considerably because of the misaligned of frames over the various sessions and times of the year. I generally don't rotate the frame to match a prior one because of the imbalance it causes with the scope mostly from the filter wheel and the need to do new flats.

Wonderful image! Well done, Steve! I photographed this target about 10 years ago with a DSLR and I really want to try it in NB or with L-enhance, but it's so low and require very good weather conditions.

Hello Steve. Wow, what a beautiful M8 Lagoon Nebula image with the ED102 telescope and L-Enhance on the flickr site. Wonderful wispy nebulosity details and color in your capture. This was a real pleasure to view Steve and congratulations on receiving the well deserved TSS APOD Award today.
