Ingenuity Adapts for Mars Winter Operations

"After a week of anomaly investigation, two sols dedicated to data collection, and the heroic efforts of the Perseverance and Ingenuity operations teams, I am very happy to report that we have reestablished reliable communications with Ingenuity. Based on all available telemetry, the helicopter appears healthy, and we have resumed a modified form of operations. Assuming winter recommissioning activities complete nominally, Ingenuity’s 29th flight may occur in the next few sols."

I have eagerly watched this little vehicle since it’s first flight, it has far surpassed expectations. Thanx for the link.

It's great to hear that NASA has not only regained comms with Ingenuity, but also figured out what happened.
It's good to hear that NASA hasn't written-off the little Flyer, but rather is working diligently to download the remaining Image and Log Data.
And it's good to know that NASA is making allowances for the Solar Power-deprivation, with Flight Plans that will position Ingenuity to better communicate with Perseverance over the coming Martian Winter.
Let's hope that the Site Selection for Ingenuity's next Hop(s) includes every possible consideration, including locations where Perseverance will still be In-Range when Spring Comes (and perchance even selecting Landing Sites that offer slight Southern Slopes to afford the Littlest Rover every last Solar Ray).

It's great that the copter is communicating again. It still would be nice if there was a way to remove the dust that impacts its energy source.
