Just got an issue of the Reflector
This is a magazine published by the Astronomical League, pretty interesting. I see that Dan Crowson (who I believe is on the forum) is on the editorial board. It came in the mail and is included in the annual fee for membership in WACO (Whatcom Association of Celestial Observers). Also there was an article on the origins of Sky & Telescope magazine, as well a prominent ads from Celestron and Meade. (Meade now being part of Orion).
I encourage others to check it out.

Great article about the James Webb mirrors and what went into their design.

I get the Reflector digitally...part of Northern Virginia Astronomy Club (NOVAC) membership. Always some great articles. Recommend AL membership to all.

Re: Just got an issue of the Reflector
I get a copy with my local club membership too.
Last issue is currently in the pile next to the bed "to read" along with a few other magazines.

Re: Just got an issue of the Reflector
Yes, A fascinating and well written article. I like the part about having to calculate and polish the right figure at room temperature so that the 18 hexagons would have the right shape at -200C, taking into account thermal contraction.

Re: Just got an issue of the Reflector
I have been trying to get my club to provide it, my old club in NJ does.
But now that I see I can subscribe at that very affordable rate I will.
Of course I will keep nudging my club to provide for our 100 members
