Astro trivia quiz for May

#1

Post by Raymondhow »

Greetings again excellent TSSers, another trivia quiz for you. Here’s the link:
https://forms.gle/y2uvNB5ZFZMYroKx5

For the short answer questions, spelling does not matter. Misspelled answers will have scores adjusted.

Remember:
1. No online research allowed, your own pure brain only.
2. On multiple choice questions, feel free to guess. You may get lucky!
3. If you have a comment about a question, please do NOT give away the correct answer!

Enjoy!

12/20. Had to guess on some multi-point questions. Over-thought on a single-pointer.

I got 12 of 20.

I asked my sister to take it, who knows almost nothing about astronomy - and she got 11. So what do I know....

That's great Gabrielle. On that WF question I made out a certain assumption that was incorrect.

13/20. Would have been a bit higher but my spelling did not qualify for even a "close enough" :P

Michael,
12 is a very respectable score, demonstrates a very sound knowledge of astronomy, and just means you didn't guess right on the high scoring "have to guess" sci-fi and slightly off topic questions. At least that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Late to the game, but I scored 18. I guessed at the NASA predecessor and missed it. But agree with Gfamily - "every day is a school day"
