Sorry I haven’t been around I have missed the group but I’ve been super busy just had all the land cleared by my house in the process of an in ground pool which has kept me busy almost every day!
I did manage to get out and see the blood moon which was awesome!

Sounds like a lot of work with the heavy equipment. Glad that you were able to get out and see the eclipse.

Hi Frank. It is great to see you back on TSS. And I am glad that you were OK after the earthquake around Columbia, South Carolina. It looks like you are going to have a nice pool to relax in this summer. Thanks for your update report Frank and those are beautiful lunar eclipse photos from you using the AD10 Dob.

I built a wall at the end of my back porch and closed it off as I’m going to have a pool fence go off both ends of my home and around the pool .

I took some time to observe the moon tonight but tomorrow starts Phase III,land grading landscaping and fencing !
I can’t wait for this project to be over!

Hi Frank. Wow, that new pool is really starting to shape up. And, that is a very nice lunar image and shows a lot of surface details along the terminator. Thanks for your update report Frank and the best of wishes for many happy hours in your new pool this summer.

I’m still managing to get out at night for a little bit but dead tired every night as the pool project rolls along .
Delivered dirt was grated , then yesterday we installed sod, today palms and plants , tomorrow fencing !

Hi everyone I sure have missed you guys. I’ve been really busy with the whole Pool project but I’m still going out at night when I can when I’m not too tired to get a little stargazing in. Macuser I was thinking of you just last night conditions were really clear and I was using the lens that you gave me trying to look at star clusters there was one but it was so far away it didn’t matter what magnification I used I couldn’t see anything Of distinction.
My pool project is 90% done but it was one hell of a project!

Quite the project, Frank...looking great!! I'm almost done with my deck staining...just the steps to go!!

@ Frankskywatcher Hi Frank. Nice, very very nice. Now just put a bbq grill on one end for daytime, your big Dob telescope on the other end for night time, patio lounge chairs on the sides and you will never want to go inside for the rest of the summer.
