A little something different. It was late in the day here in Southern California. But still, the seeing was not bad. However the marine layer started to form as I was wrapping up.
There was a large prominence on the limb. So I decided to draw it large. And make a small drawing of theHa Sun overall. The A marking the prominence in the larger drawing. The Sun was getting low... so details were fleeting. But when available 'popped'. Using an MG2 alt az mount, I had to constantly move the image around the FOV to place things in the Etalon's sweet spot. And again, tho many of you are very kind, this does show again my limited talent.

Hi Jeff, personally I think that's great! You're too modest; your "limited talent" is miles beyond any sketching skills I have, trust me
The included info you wrote in is a nice touch too!
All the best,

Hi Jeff. A very nice solar sketch from you. And I can imagine the difficulty in drawing a sketch while constantly resetting your view with an alt-az mount. Thanks for sharing this artwork with us Jeff and keep up the great sketches.
