Single 2" filter 'deep ring' filter holder?

I wanted to move my single UV/IR cut filter out in my imaging chain. What I found is that the threads of the filter holder ring are too 'shallow' to allow the focal reducer to be threaded into it. It only catches like 2 or three threads, not enough. Strangely enough it will thread onto the backside of the OAG!?

Here is a pic of the setup. You can see the filter 'behind' the OAG I would like to move it in 'front' of the OAG but as I said there are not enough threads on the filter ring. The large cone shaped thing on the left is the field flattener threaded into the OAG.



Does anyone sell a deeper ring with more threads on it? Just the ring?

I dont want filter trays or anything of that sort.

Would it not be cheaper to just knock the glass out of a unused filter and use the ring from it?

That would be a great idea If I had one

Most of my filters are unmounted in a filter wheel which I dont use anymore. But I will scrounge through my uhhh 'junk' box and see whats in there.

Oh wait! I think I know what your saying... instead of that expensive adaptor just use an old filter ring without the glass and retainer and thread that into the UVIR filter?
