Hi Michael. Here is a nomination for a relatively new member. He is quite excited about his recent results in observing the night skies with his 10" Dob and I thought that he would enjoy being considered for the TSSVROD Award with his report, at: viewtopic.php?f=4&p=196516#p196516
Again, Happy Birthday Michael and the very best of regards.

WOW I am bowled over, thank you all so much!
I’m just tickled pink to be here amongst such awesome people who obviously know way way more than I do !
I would also like to say that I have had other hobbies in the past,I used to play bagpipes in a pipe and drum band,I don’t do that any longer though.
I also have an amateur radio license that I still keep up and get on the air waves every once in a while.
What I’m trying to say is sometimes when you get involved in a hobby you’ll get those people with their nose up in the air and instead of helping you will do the opposite.
That’s what I like so much about this group even compared to some other astronomy groups and forms and I have checked out, everyone here has been so kind and helpful and I truly do appreciate it ,thank you all so much .
Sincerely Frank
Gee if I had known there was so much to see I would have started decades ago !
