On the forums index there is an announcement:
We received $127.46 in donations.
We haven’t used any donations.
So I had some thoughts.

1) There doesn't seem to be a link for making donations, so I wonder about how this is done? Folks just send a check?

2) It's awfully generous of the team to not use or solicit donations.

I wholeheartedly agree, and donations should be kept anyonomous IMHO.

Yes. I detest Venmo's lack of anonymity.

We will be making a few changes that will hopefully help to reduce our operating costs. (More to come soon).

What we DON'T want to do is change the way we do things (ie put overly restrictive limits on things like image size).

Hopefully, the changes will allow us to run things less expensive without jeopardizing our capabilities.

We will keep the members in the loop as things progress....

I guess it's still good to reduce the sizes of pictures whenever it's fit. I do.
Rather voluntarily than via restrictions. Sometimes reducing a picture size makes it lose info, and those could use more storage, if other pictures, that can tolerate more size reduction are reduced more.

I'd still like to donate.
