The next in the series, the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-T (GOES-T) launches atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket to provide advanced imagery and atmospheric measurements of Earth’s weather, oceans and environment. It will map lightning activity and improve monitoring of solar activity and space weather. It lifted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station SLC-41 in Florida on March 1, 2022 at 4:38 p.m. EST (2138 GMT), soaring into a clear, blue sky. Here are the three shots that I got from my backyard a short while ago this afternoon.

Thanks Marshall!

Outstanding shots of this launch! I can’t imagine how cool it would be to see a launch like this from anywhere, especially my backyard!
