I just bough a new Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 114AZ Smartphone Telescope and have been tinkering with different aspects. Is there a page or forum that will help me explore more of it and advance features and capabilities?

Welcome, you're in my neighborhood. I hope the app works. Your scope is probably a Bird Jones that has a spherical mirror and a Barlow where the focuser attaches to the tube. Namely, if the FL is 1000 mm and the tube length is 600 mm, it would have to be. This means that the optics are not ideal and that it is a slow scope at F/9 or so, which makes it hard to view nebulae. The moon, open clusters and planets should work. If you like the visual experience you may want to upgrade to a Dobsonian. The SBAU in Santa Barbara is probably the nearest astro club, with Covid there's not much going on except a Zoom meeting for DIY folks, in January there might be an outreach event but who knows where this omicron thing goes.

Current scopes 16in night sky dobsonian , 80mm synta refractor on a slik professional tripod with a stellarvue m1 mount Meade series 4000 eyepieces. Meade 70mm binoculars. Keep looking up.
