ASCOM driver for a Meade LS

#1

Post by MistrBadgr »

Someone on another forum has asked about an ASCOM driver for his Meade LS 6. I know Meade paid to have a driver built for the LS and it used to be on the Meade website. It is not included on their newest version of their ASCOM driver Platform. I am wondering if anyone on The Sky Searchers might have a copy of that driver that could be sent to me, that I could forward on to the person looking for it.

Thanks,
Bill Steen

Hi JayTee,
The driver for the LS scopes should be there, but it is not. They have a general AutoStar driver and an AutoStar 2 driver. The LS is AutoStar 3, which had its own driver. There was a Beta Version of the AutoStar 3 driver and I believe it was part of the ASCOM driver platform, but it appears to have been removed. I am hoping to find a copy of an older version of the platform that has the driver on it. I have called customer support, but the turnover of people since those drivers were made that the person I talked to just barely understood what I was talking about. Therefore, I am asking around to see if anyone has it.

Thanks,
Bill Steen
