Hi Peter,

I took the liberty of moving your post to this section from the Solar images forum as it may get better results here.

I'm not that familiar with the AZ-GTi mount, but from the description given online it sounds like you need to use the iPhone/Andriod app that is specifically designed for that mount.

Peter,
I'm an Android guy and just checked the Google Store. They have a SynScan app (A free version and a paid version.) that will work with your mount. I'm sure there's an iOS version as well.
I also use Sky Safari Pro on my Android tablet. It has the ability to control any of the SkyWatcher mounts as well. It takes a bit of fiddling with to get it configured properly but once you get it working the first time, repeating the connection is a simple matter of clicking a single button.
