Finder for 20x80s

I like my Celestron 20x80 binos, but I have wanted a finder for them for a long time. I had an unused red-dot finder gathering dust, and I seriously considered using duct tape. But a friend in the local club came up with the idea of using bulldog clips. I modified his design slightly. Here is my version.

If you decide to replicate this idea, be warned that the hard part is drilling the spring steel clips. You will need a very hard drill bit. My friend used cobalt. I used titanium. A regular steel bit just isn't going to do it.

Good ideas are always appreciated, thank you. This looks to be a very usable suggestion.

Nicely done Kathy, that's impressive! I hear you on the drill bit on hardened steel such as that. A bit of duct tape for me helps keep the bit from "wandering"!!

Bet targets are easier to sight now :D

All the best,

I'd like to do that on my 15x70s, but there's no center rail. Have to get into MacGyver Mode.

Addendum: Forgot about this puppy:
