Hello, have a question regarding polar alignment using SharpCap.
I have done polar alignment in the past usisng my guide scope on my ES152.
However I now have an EdgeHD 11" on the mount and am unable to get a polar alignment. It's keeps failing. I am trying to go through the OTA as I'm not butting a guide scope on this setup. I'm guiding through an OAG.
Is there anyone here doing a polar align using either an EdgeHD 11" or maybe a C11. If so, can you please help?
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most! :tease:
I recently had issues with Sharpcap with my guide camera. I installed the latest N.I.N.A. nightly that has a Three Point Polar Align pluggin available. It worked like a charm!
I only tried it on my Sharpstar 61 and Explore Scientific ED102, but it might be worth a go.

As JT mentioned. It requires a wider field of view than the C11 provides.
I haven't tried the 3 point polar alignment feature in NINA but I've heard very good things about it. But you may just run into the same problem though with that very narrow fov.
You might have to go old-school and drift align it.
