Hi all,

My daughter has been at her grandmothers (my wife's mother) place for a few days and came home tonight, loaded up with the usual too much that grandmothers spoil their grandchildren with

However, in amongst all her spoils was this for me:

I took a quick flip through the books, looks like it might be interesting. Anyone have any opinions?

Thanks much and all the best,

I have the Night Sky one it's good. Pretty easy to follow, CD and a book.

I also have the Physics one, that's like 8 books and CDs. That one gets pretty indepth, I think I'm on CD#3. Have to return to it this winter.

No experience with those specifically, but I bought a digital access one on physics done by a guy from Fermilab. It's not bad. I think Fillipenko's astrophysics course is on sale. Might be worth a look, but I wouldn't pay more than $20-$30 for it given how much free stuff is out there.

I think there is good free astro stuff at Coursera and Khan Academy as well.
