My TSS is no longer displaying colour scheme selected in the USER CP.
I usually prefer Prosilver or anything except black.
My mouse cursor doesn't show up very well against the black backdrop.

I've tried refreshing. NADA. Could someone confirm if it is a universal issue or just me?

Thanks Steve,
I should have done this earlier...I tried logging in with a different browser - prosilver no problems. Problem is in Chome and since yesterday.

I don't know what it is called, but I use one that has green in it instead of the default blue. The other day, it came up with the default color scheme. I shut down my browser, then started back up and my normal screen came up. Other than that one incident, no problems here. I use FireFox.

Thanks Bill,
I've tried clearing cache, quitting and restarting, refreshing Chrome. Safari - no problems so it's not my board settings on the USER CP. Something specific to Chrome that has cropped up since last night.
Oh well.
Thanks for your message

Hello Joe

Prosilver is the board default, can't think why you can't select it!

There are three other styles, Black, Elegance and Simplicity, all other styles are variations of these.

Can you see all the styles in your CP and are unable to select them or are they not available to select?

Also, can you see the list in the drop down on the Portal (half way down the left column)

Regards

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

I can see and set prosilver or any other colour scheme in Chrome but it still displays black. When I logged in to TSS using Safari, it displays correctly. I've now determined the problem is with the Chrome browser.

However, I didn't update Chrome yesterday and I don't allow background updates. I have to approve all updates so I am baffled why this change has happened.

At any rate, thanks to people who responded, I've narrowed it down to a problem with one browser on my computer. Not a problem with TSS.

cheers
Joe

Hi JayTee,
Thanks.
Yes, tried clearing cache, cold reboot even though I use a mac not a pc.

It's in the particular browser. Alternate browser functions normally.

I am also on a Mac here. I typically use Safari. One thing I notice is that if I am checking the APOD or VROD, I will be logged out and get the black interface. Then, I log in and when I do, I go back to my blue-green selection. Just sayin'... One argument I make is that hardware fails but software is eternal. Once it works, it works forever. That sounds nice, but I also know that there's lots of layers and lots of methods and pointers and things and it is impossible to test everything. I accept easily that a minor upgrade to Chrome is the source of your problem here.

Good thing our lenses don't do this to us, you know: put in a 28mm Ploessl and suddenly the red stars disappear.

And just as mysteriously as the problem started, it has now returned to normal overnight. I stopped trying to fix it so there is nothing I did that could have fixed it.
Thanks to those who tried to help.
