rip my cameras mirror assembly. spring popped out and now it wont focus anymore in optical viewfinder mode. it just hunts like the sensor is blocked.
or it front-focuses like mad.

I just removed the mirror assembly (violently) and converted my canon SL1/100D DSLR into a mirrorless. only downside is it doesnt work with M lenses.

its quieter when taking photos in live view anyways. And actually can shoot faster continuous in live view too.

Focusing might be a little slower but its infinitely more accurate. and has face tracking and whatnot. other more useful features.

I don't know whether this is good news or bad news. Myself, when I take things apart, I always have springs or whatever popping out. When I got my Celestron EQ-130 Newtonian, I got the Celestron lens and filter kit. Well, the filters screw into the eyepieces, no problem there, but... as it happens the 20mm and 10mm oculars that the telescope comes with are NOT threaded. So, I thought maybe the filter can fit between lens and the barrel... and I unscrewed the lens and got a hanful of little glass objects...

So, is this project of yours going well? ... or not? ...
