The chart was made in the 80-90s by a English astronomer named Chris Lord.
The same that wrote the Evolution Of Eyepieces that is stickied in the Eyepiece forum.

I found his website, BrayeBrook Observatory

It has not been updated since 2010 and is http not https, but it has a ton of information.

Certainly does have a ton of information, nice one :) The site I found the chart on was Cloudy Nights, but as I say, no mention of where it came from. Seems like Gabby has done a good job of resolving that ;)

Something I have known for quite a while since I am a refractor enthusiast ;)
With the CA chart it is only applicable to crown/ flint refractors and does not cover ED or apochromatic refractors.

This is a link to Mr. Lord website: http://brayebrookobservatory.org/BrayOb ... ayObs.html

I'll be sure to tap you up for some knowledge the next time I'm looking for a good refractor :) Regarding the chart, it was mentioned on the other site that it is only applicable for crown/flint glass, but thanks for the confirmation of such.
