The changes seem much faster than I thought.

Refreshing to have a "reversed" look. I'd think, the total radio emissions from the Earth might make Earth to stand out, though.

In this scenario we are the "aliens." It would not be too difficult to analyze the chemical signature of earth and determine if it is life bearing. And, as the article states, the transits last for a long time on the order of 1,000 years or so.
Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.
