Sharpless 72

Sh2-72 (RCW 179 and possibly others) is a large HII region located approximately 13,300 light-years away in Aquila.

Ha – 25x1800s – 750 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

870 minutes total exposure – 14 hours 30 minutes

Imaged over six nights in June, 2019 and June, 2021 at Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.

wow, i had to get the calculator out to work out that sub time in minutes haha, 30 min exp !. outstanding !
