The evening of June 14, 2021, I observed the following double stars in Serpens with my 6" f/8 apo on a pier in the fully manual ExploraDome:

STF 1917 m 9.8,9.9, sep 2.4" at PA 233 degrees. This was a clear split at 173x, even better at 203x with 6mm TV Delos.

STF 1919 m 6.7,7.4, sep 23.4" at PA 11. Fine, wide double, at 61x, with a ES 20mm-68 eyepiece.

STF 1923 m m 9.1,10.1, sep 4.8" at PA 11. Great view at 173x with 7mm TV Delite.

STF 1930 m 5.1,10.1, sep 11.1" at PA 36. Great unequal double, pretty sight, using TV Delite 9mm for 135x, even better at 173x.

STF 1931 m 7.2, 8.1, sep 13.1" at PA 166. Nice view at 61x.

STF 1943 m 9.3, 9.6, sep 5.1" at PA 147. Viewed at 135x.

STF 1950 m 8.1,9.2, sep 3.4" at PA 252. Viewed at 135x.

STF 1953 m 9.6,10.6, sep 6.7" at PA 252. Viewed at 135x and 173x.

Delta (13 Ser) STF 1954 m 4.2,5.2 sep 4.0" at PA 173. This is a "showpiece" double at 135x.

I find that using a little higher magnification than necessary, darkening the field a bit, produces more pleasing results.

Yes, a darker field is always a good thing.

Hello John. You "snaked" out a lot of nice double stars in Serpens with your 6" f/8 apo scope. Thanks for the very nice and commentated observing report John, and congratulations on winning the TSS VROD Award today.

Nice catches John! I agree about the darker field. Under my home Bortle 6 sky 2mm exit pupil produces the richest star colors.

Permanently installed 6" APO is my dream setup for doubles. Not gonna happen anytime soon.

Very nice doubles.
I think STF1930 is a nice one, with M5 in one field of view?
Thanks for your report.
congratulations on the VROD!
