TSS now has an area for members to post Articles and Reviews.

NOTE: DO NOT POST REVIEW or ARTICLES in this forum section!

There are a few guidelines to follow for your submissions.

Guidelines for Writing an Equipment Review

-Location and Experience Level of the Reviewer, Number of scopes owned
-Type of equipment being reviewed
-Manufacturer and Model of the equipment
-Date of the Review
-Impressions on Usability, Function of the Telescope, Binoculars, Mount, Eyepiece, Camera, or Software
-Collimation Process (if Newtonian) and Binoculars if Applicable and other information such as aligning finder scopes, ease of GOTO, and utility of the mount
-Viewing through the Instrument
-Performance Evaluation on Celestial Objects (Please includes descriptions of viewed objects - planets, moon, deep sky objects such as M42, M13, etc.
-Recommendation for Potential Buyers of the Equipment
-Photo of the Equipment
-We are especially interested in comparison reviews where two or more instruments are being reviewed head to head
-No editorial changes will be made to the article without the author’s consent
-Please be fair in your evaluation, include both good points and compromises made
-We also are interested in multiple reviews of the same product by different authors to provide a sense of context to the reviews and help purchasers make up their minds
-Submissions can be sent to submissions@theskysearchers.com

We have had a few instances of new topics being created in the Articles and Reviews forum without prior approval by the TSS team. Those topics have moved to the appropriate forum topics. Please be sure to read the guidelines above if you wish to create an article or review.

Thanks for your continued support!!!
