Finally it looks as if my Antares Versascope will guide.

My I have had some fun with this - very little information on the back focus needed to use this as a guide scope with an astro camera, in my case an ASI224MC, suggestions are that 25mm works with most cameras and astro cams. I saw one mention in CN that it could be something crazy, like 80mm.

Not crazy at all 80mm works.

Take off the 1.25 inch clamp screw on to the m48 with a 42 to 48 adapters a s extend away. I also reversed the tube holder as it balances well - the wrong way around...

Clear sky tonight so I will try out guiding on M53, Whirlpool to its friends.

Whoops M51, guide scope will focus but too far out of alignment, never mind goo PA and getting good 1min subs.
