This splendid large face-on spiral is located near the back great bear paws in UMa. Sort of off the beaten path of the usual galaxy season favorite stops. Imaged is good conditions last night thru the BigDog 16 with a continuation of 'naked' OSC pics, point and shoot, no calibration files were added or subtracted or multiplied or even attached in the in the completion of this image. I left the bright star GP UMa class M0, HIP 50389, mag 6.5, in the pic for a comparison of what is at the naked eye limit and what is needed to get deep for successful galaxy hunting.
