M106

I had a surprise fairly clear evening last night and decided to try M106. I'd never tried this target before...
I had some clouds roll through but I was able to salvage 225 x 1 min exposures and run them through APP.
The result was actually decent so I went on to StarTools and gave it a run...
I couldn't decide which crop version looked best so I'm posting both!.

As usual, comments and criticism welcome.

Thanks for looking!

Larry

Looking good Larry! Both crop versions are nice, I have a preference for the wider view containing more additional galaxies.

Really nice. I also like the wider view with the NGC 4217.

Yep, really nice. I'm down for the wider field too both are excellent.

very nice larry , with the f3.9 ? you have very nice and sharp details , good sky i assume aswell, a little improvment on star tracking and i'ts perfect , have you looked into an off axis guide or a hyper tune ?

Thank you!
I have not looked into those as of yet. My sky is bortle 5 and my camera is very efficient at >90% QE so I'm looking into shorter exposures. Maybe 30 sec or so...

Very nice image. I like both versions, but I like the first one better (I know, I'm the odd one out here). Well done on the capture though.
