Alan Dyer and Terry Dickinson have just announced the publication of the fourth edition of the Backyard Astronomer's Guide. It is at the printer right now, and will be on sale soon.

I am honoured to have had one of my photos included in it. (My M13 image, that I am sure you have all seen many times by now.)

Congratulations! :) I am not sure where they could get a better image to use, the Hubble Telescope maybe?

Kathy,
Your M13 image is the best I've ever seen. I remember it from an earlier post you made. Congratulations on getting it published!

I received the 3rd edition last Christmas, knowing I probably should have waited!!!!! Darn it!

And... here it is. I am looking forward to perusing the entire book. But I will confess having opened it to page 318 first! :)

The 3rd edition is my favorite coffee table astronomy book. It sits next to a book on DaVinci, an atlas of Ancient Civilizations and Chinese Buddhist art. Glad to hear of the new edition and congratulations on your image included! I'm eager to see the update and will immediately order! Thanks and congratulations once again.
