DIY Eyepiece adapter sketch for the masses
I have 2 Plossl eyepieces, in 1 1/4", but around a half dozen other eyepieces, some Very old Kellners in vgc, but all in 1". To actually convert all the 1" to 1 1/4" with bought adapters, gets a bit expensive. So I measured up my sole "bought" adapter, created a working sketch and made a few more of my own adapters, from some Nylon round bar I happened to have an offcut of.(Had no Aluminium to hand, but the Nylon proved quite strong enough, including the locking screw thread !)
Now I can simply drop any eyepiece, straight into the scope, in the dark, without any fuss !
Please feel free to take a copy of my sketch if you like, and If you have access to, or have a friend with a small lathe, crack on ! (I know that's not everyone).
