The Jellyfish Nebula

Another from my couple of clear nights around the new year.

This is IC443 and a target I have looked forward to doing. Technical issues again reduced the plan some but I got just under 4 hours on this one.

79 X 180s
SW 80ED Altair Hypercam 269c
NEQ6
L-eNhance filter (moon at 88% so I think this says much about this filter!)

I had hoped for more detail in the filaments around the head of the jellyfish but maybe my tracking or focus was not as good as it could have been

C&C appreciated as always.

Great capture... Propus did not come out so well on my HA or S2 filters. Huge halos on both. Maybe my exposures were too long. I will have to try it with the L-enhance and OSC.

Thanks Steve, yes propus is not that bad but I still find it a distraction - I seriously considered taking the old clone stamp to it like you did.

Hey, the detail is excellent. Especially when shooting with such a bright moon in the sky.
