and for 600 euro more 180 x for the ed and the sd only .

if I calculate the kit,
tripod, fork mount, binoculars and the 600 euros more for the magnification .
plus transport .
that's a nice total of $ 5,000 Canadian.
I was sure that we could have more magnification than that with binoculars .

I've come to realize that trying to dissuade the average newbie from getting binos for planetary viewing is like telling a teen not to do something -- it tends to send them charging in even faster to do it. Then some weeks later they finally reach out to me after they've got the binoculars and a cheap B&H tripod. What impresses me mostly with my SkyMaster 20x80s is how well they work for DSOs. I can't see the rings of Saturn with them. If you get twice the magnification like you described you still can't see much. I would not want more magnification. What I would like for improvement is 90 degree viewing and less CA, and perhaps 100 mm instead of 80 mm. I would pay $1500 for that but $5K is a bit much.
BTW The best binos I ever looked through were Fujinons, I think they were 100 mm. This was at the RTMC, they had the best views of everything I looked through, just amazing.

As Henk indicated the strength of binocular observing is in low to mid power DSOs views. Although, at 80-100x I would not hesitate to do some casual planetary observing. It will resolve some details to make it interesting.
